Manga Boy

I did this in the early 1990's before manga was popular in the West. I was buying imported Japanese books and comics from a shop in London before any English translations were available here.

This image was in one of the Captain Harlock books, I just put my own spin on it and it was completed using gouache on bristol board....

I did another version for some envelope art that was published in a Super Nintendo Magazine in there letters column in July 1993.

Waching the Hologram of Les Dawson on ITV on June 1st 2013, reminded me of this comic strip of a holographic Marc Bolan that I did in 1998. Set in 2021 it sees a concert by Marc on a world still inhabited by Mickey Finn who, in this world, sadly died in 2003.

2000AD reject pages

I did this for a 2000AD test page, they asked me to do from a script. 

They rejected me probably as they had a change of editor 

from the script being given to me to them getting my finished work.
